Iβm Wil Oliver, a Doctor of Divinity and originator of Mindful Soul Practice.
I work with individuals and communities through One to One Mindful Mentoring, group workshops, public speaking, and published works. My work lives at the intersection of memory, recovery, and counter-narrative truth-telling.
My mission is to deliver creative projects and services that impact health equity,
enhance outcomes for individuals, and improve quality of life in communities.
I know what it is to navigate housing injustice, mental health challenges, substance use, spiritual betrayal, and medical harm. Across more than three decades, I have transformed lived experience into tools for advocacy, education, healing, and liberated presence. I bring that hard-earned knowledge together with peer recovery support, human systems practice, social research, mindfulness, art, and technology.
You may have arrived carrying pain, exhaustion, uncertainty, a blocked voice, or the desire to begin again. Your path remains your own. You choose what you share and what you pursue. I meet you with compassion, cultural discernment, directness, and respect, then hold belief in possibility of positive outcomes as you take the next useful step.
Mindful Soul Practice is rooted in Black, Brown, and Indigenous aliveness and healing, centered in the African diaspora, and guided by Africultural wisdom.

New Social Work is a powerful tool for creating positive change in the world. In the past, social workers leaned too heavily into aligning with systems of oppression. Harm was done that must be repaired.
Connecting in community is the heart of Mindful Soul Practice, so feel free to visit and engage with all of the offerings as often as you like.
